All Petit Planet Characters List and Their Roles

Hoyoverse’s next life-sim game, Petit Planet, is filled with fluffy creatures that you can unlock, letting you level up your gameplay by spending time with them. All these Petit Planet characters are known as neighbours in the game. They’ll help you to farm, cook, garden, and fish, alongside many other fun activities you need to complete to unlock more furry characters. You know, every neighbour or character got a dedicated role in Petit Planet universe; each has their own personality, story, and ability to grow your planet.

As Petit Planet is still in the development phase, they hav e only confirmed a few characters, which were also available in the Petit Planet beta test program. The developers has announced that the game is likely to release this winter 2026. Before you dive into the galaxy full of stars and cute neighbours, you should know the characters and their roles.

All Petit Planet Characters & Their Roles

HoYoverse has confirmed a total of 10 neighbours, who are also available in the final beta test. Players are expecting more cute characters in future updates or with the global release of the game. Here’s a list of every confirmed character in Petit Planet with their roles and neighbour background.

	Medowlyn Meadowlyn is a sheep-inspired neighbour in Petit Planet who acts as a plushie designer. She can transform any memory into a cute stuffed animal, and she’ll give you one plushie daily as a friendship token.	Plushie Designer

Neighbor Professions & How They Help Your Planet

In Petit Planet, your planet won’t build automatically; you have to set the bars high. Unlike other life simulation games where players just wander around, here each and every character plays a vital role in progressing and developing your world by assisting with daily tasks.

From doing farming and managing local stores to crafting items and exploring other galaxies, each character has a dedicated role which helps you to manage your planet.

Neighbours like Yunguo, who is a farmer, will take care of your crops and plants and gather materials while you explore your planet or any other galaxy. And a few neighbours will give you daily gifts, unlock, and provide resources. Take Rebella, for instance she’s a resident neighbour who will help you explore planets, even if she is a bit of a rule-breaker.

What to Expect When Petit Planet Launches

As we all know, developers are still working on this life-sim; however, we have the list of neighbours that are confirmed who are going to help us manage our planet. While these 10 characters are cute and helpful for in-game tasks, everyone expects more furry creatures as we get closer to the launch date. Currently, final beta-test sign-ups are open for limited players (though everyone can register), and after the testing program, we’ll get to know the confirmed Petit Planet release date.

Plus, there’s still a lot of game content left to reveal, such as new neighbours, seasonal events, challenges, and gameplay mechanics.
