Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that they partnered with the Netflix to showcase their extended look at GTA 6 on August 27, 2026, at 3 PM ET.

I have been following GTA 6 coverage since 2023, when a few GTA 6 leaks were building a lot of hype for the game. As Rockstar Games never confirmed any of the rumors, after a few months we got a reason to celebrate when they suddenly dropped the first trailer on YouTube on December 4, 2023. After a year and a half, we got the second trailer on May 6, 2025.

It’s been a year now, and everyone was waiting for the release of GTA 6 Trailer 3, but before that, they revealed the GTA 6 prices and editions just a day before pre-orders opened. Instead of a traditional trailer, Rockstar Games is giving us a special look at GTA 6 on Netflix, even Netflix admits it’s a ‘first-of-its-kind partnership’. The extended look will also be uploaded to Rockstar Games’ official YouTube channel later that same day at 9 PM ET.

If you live in Asia, then according to your time zone you’ll get the live premiere on August 28 in the early morning free on YT. If you don’t want to miss this legendary moment because I know people will start posting spoilers online, just open your smartphone and set a reminder for the GTA 6 premiere on August 28 at 12:30 AM.

How to Watch the Live Premier on Netflix or YouTube?

The live premiere of the GTA 6 extended look will go live on August 27 at 3:00 PM ET. There's a dedicated page available on Netflix; you can find it at netflix.com/gtavi. You can watch it here once they start the live premiere. The only requirement is that you must have a Netflix subscription plan.

For Non-Netflix users, Rockstar also announced that they will drop the extended look on their YouTube channel and on the official GTA 6 website six hours after the Netflix premiere.

If you don't have Netflix with an active subscription or you are not in the mood to pay for it, you can wait up to six hours to watch it completely free.

Netflix subscribers will have early access to the extended look, creating a six-hour gap before it is uploaded to YouTube or the official website. This means six hours is plenty of time for fans to break down everything. All I want to say is just be careful, you can easily get spoilers of GTA 6 extended look during those six hours.

A Reddit user posted on the r/GTA6 subreddit that they found a glitch on Netflix's Portugal page. They reported that the Netflix GTA 6 extended look section briefly showed three episodes along with their runtimes.

Each episode is over 20 minutes long, and here's the break down of each episode's runtime:

• Episode 1 - 23 mins, 37 seconds
• Episode 2 - 24 mins, 41 seconds
• Episode 3 - 18 mins, 29 seconds

There are a lot of rumors and leaks about the runtime of the extended look, so it's really hard to trust anyone, after all, some are just speculations and others are glitches. This runtime leak didn't come from a typical GTA 6 leaker or community member; it was just a Netflix app glitch.
